Mrs. Robinson is a medical assistant, where she works at, which is Maggee Women’s Hospital. She is a 35 year old women taking care of 3 children, one son who is the oldest and twin daughters. She has a husband who works in the military fighting for our country. She is Latino, Spanish, French, and African American, also she and her children is Christian. She works with a lot of children and deals with a lot of patients. Every day when she walks into her job, she has to wear a suit; almost that she looks like she is going out of space. She wears this suit so that it protects her from all of the germs at her job. Also with this suit she must make sure that it is closed completely, so that no air can get into it because anyone could get sick. Another thing is that if she gets infected, she is at risk at putting her children and husband at risk. Mrs. Robinson has a special kind of relationship with all her patients. She makes each one of them feel important, almost if they did not have a disease.
So it all begins when Mrs. Robinson went to work one day and she realized that she left her suit at home. She had to do the job regardless, so when she got there, she just had to improvise and do what she had to do. So because she had to improvise she used garbage bags and like the un-name brand gloves and also tape to tape it up to cover up her body. When she got home, she noticed that she had a real bad headache. After the headache, she noticed that other side effects begin to come about such as muscle pain high fever, and abdominal pain. Once she noticed, she told her kids that she did not want them to come near her because she did not want them to catch whatever she had. 2 days later, she noticed that that side affects begin to get worse, so she called her job. She told them that she would not be able to make it and that she was going to the hospital.
When she got to the hospital they did a lot of test on her to see what she had. 2 hours later they told her that she had Malaria. When she found out she begin to panic because she did not know how she got, but then she begin to think back and remember why. Luckily she made it to the hospital just in time because they were able to treat her real fast. They told her if she would have waited any longer, it could have been worse and she might have died and would not have made it in time.
While they were there they were just praying about it making sure that their mom is ok. They told her family that, she would have to stay the night over just so that it does not get around and also to see what her results were. The very next day she would not wake up, the kids were crying and in tears they thought she had died, luckily she survived. The kids were so blessed and happy. The nurses and doctors couldn’t believe it so they told the family that they did not think that the test were correct so they said they wanted to keep her one more night. At 3:00 in the morning the doctors and nurses let the family know that she died. They were sad, but they got over it because they knew that their mom was in a much safer place.
